  • Description:

José Pons was Argentine, Jacqueline, French. Together, in their house of the Latin neighbourhood in Paris, they were home to many Argentine artists who set foot in France because of political reasons, such as exile, or for personal searches. Atahualpa Yupanqui, Astor Piazzolla, Mercedes Sosa, Jairo, Horacio Guarany, Roberto Aussel, Horacio Ferrer, the Quilla Huasi, Cacho Tirao, Susana Rinaldi, Los Indianos and Horacio Salgán were some of their guests. The Pons´ house was a shelter for these artists who, among meetings, nice atmospheres and meals, gave birth to big ideas and guitar sessions until dawn. The memories, letters, photos and audios from those days were well kept by the hosts until today. Jacqueline Pons offers her voce and her files and shares this invaluable cultural record with us.
